How To Stop Your Dog from Jumping
Walk around the room with your dog on its hind legs. I recommend this for training dogs that are medium to large sized only.
..:::How To Pet
Q:I have a male, nuetered 4 year old German Shepherd that was adopted from a shelter a little over 2 months ago. He is extremely well behaved and obedient. His diet consists of Purina One for breakfast (one cup) and dinner (3 cups). In between, if he's been good or has put forth some effort in his walks or playing or what have you, we will give him a couple of treats a day which are either Milk Bones or one of the Beggin' Strips.
As of about a week ago, he started to get a little sick. Nothing serious at first, he'd throw up a little and take it easy for a day or so. We'd stop with the treats and maintain the Purina for his food (as he would eat it when he felt better) and it eventually went away. Tonight, and earlier today, he has thrown up a total of 3 times and not to get too graphic, it was substantial. Nothing out of the ordinairy though like blood or dark matter. We've also noticed that he's had some pretty bad gas the past couple of days as well and we're starting to get very concerned. I'd like to know if anyone has any advice as to what his problem might be before we have a chance to take him in to see his vet (vet isn't open until Monday).
One other thing I can think of is the fact that he does get himself worked up when my wife and I are either gone for the day, or if, well we're having some alone time and he can't be near us. I guess I'm just wondering if he's working himself up to a very upset stomach under those circumstances.
Thanks for any and all advice anybody can give... as I said, we love him very much and are very worried since it'll be a little more than a day until we can get him looked at.
TIA,
Blueline
