Q: my cat was just diagnosed with FIP. i wanted to know is there anything that I can do for him he's only 9 months old. It was all because of I brought a kitten home from the SARA Society that was sick & i didn't know it at the time I feel so bad.
A:OH so sorry to hear this.:( Please don't blame yourself. You were trying to do something kind and had no way of knowing this kitten was carrying this illness.
You are positive it's FIP? This disease is often difficult to diagnose accurately because of the varying and sometimes vague symptoms.
There is really no treatment for this illness, and how well your cat will do depends on his ability to mount a defense against the disease.
Just keep him and his surroundings clean and keep him well-fed and cared for.
