Q:This time of year, we give the cats their monthly flea and tick stuff (Advantage). It's never bothered them before, but if you'll remember, one of our cats just had a bad vaccine reaction (lumps!!). I plan to call the vet on Monday to ask whether or not it's safe to put chemicals on her while the lumps are still going away. Any thoughtS?
A:If the bump does not drain, is not an open lesion or some kind of surgery is not contemplated to biopsy/remove the bump, then I don't see a contraindication to using a monthly repellent.
