Oh no..

Edit By:How To Pet
Q:Once again, my life has taken a strange, and dissappointing turn.. I may have to give my dogs up.. As my dad's sister died two days ago, we found out last night, and her daughter who is 7 years old will be taken into our care. We don't know how my dogs will react to this. They love children, they're just really hyper, and still jump when ppl come into the house. We're going to keep them and see how things go, she's in Nova Scotia, and is staying with her grandma till she can get money for a plane here. She's a tiny girl, and I wouldn't want Chaos and King to hurt her in any kind of way. When they jump on her they may knock her over. All I need now is for my neighbor to see the dogs jump on her in our backyard, and call the cops saying that they're attacking her. Hopefully all goes well, and I wont have to give them up. But I already know someone who will take them, who's a very very close family friend and I'm usually over at his house all day with them anyway, so atleast I'll still get to see them on a regular basis.. I'm just gunna miss waking up beside them.. But you know, not many ppl are lucky enough to still get to see their dog everyday after they're forced to give them up. :(
A:Every kind of life story and change needs time for adjustment.

I truly hope that this works out so you don't have to rehome the dogs.

Very sorry for the loss of your aunt, the little girl must just be traumatized.
If your dogs are socially accepting of children, this could be the best thing for her..to have dogs.
A:It's not difficult to teach dogs not to jump all over people, and this child is not 2 yrs old...I think you're jumping the gun a bit.
A:I really hope that they can stay with me. I dont mean to sound like I'm jumping the gun, but I'm worried. For both my dogs and her. I talked to my dad about it, and he said that we'll see how things go the first two months. I've started teaching them to lay down in the hall whenever someone comes over, they usually do this when it's a new comer, but once they know you well enough, they'll jump all over you and try as hard as they could to get to your face to give you kisses.
