What Ontario NEEDS for the Pit bull breeds!!!
Edit By:How To Pet
Q:The Pit bull breeds are so busy being banned and isolated from their much needed socialization. Between muzzling and short leashes, 1.8 metres, that's a hard thing to do. Our dogs wll suffer from lack of socialization unless we can do something for them.
The muzzles that they wear seem to scare some of the other dogs, not only people. Our dogs that wear the muzzles feel valnerable and respond back from the growl, a panic response knowing they are not able to defend themselves should they need to. What is this going to do to our beloved dogs that we have taught for so long socialization?
This question was quickly mentioned on a post and the more I thought of it, the more I thought it should be addressed, not only to the people in our forum, but also to Clayton Ruby, who is fighting in defense for our dogs and to city councils in our communities. If we win, there will be no need, but for right now we need something done as soon as possible before our dogs get phobia's or whayever else that could develope because of this d*mn non-socializing way the laws and bylaws are putting before us and targeting our dogs...and us.
Why can we not have leash free parks just for our breeds? If they can exclude the Pit bull breeds from being allowed in Leash Free Parks, why can we not have excusive Leash Free Parks designed only for Pit bulls and their owners?
As an example, I have taken pictures at the Bow Wow Pow Wow in London, prior to us giving our speeches at city hall. We had never met prior, nor none of our dogs...and there were no bad incidences. Only comical and a wonderful feeling that our kids got to socialize together in the manner they were meant to.
But, yesterday reconfirmed the need for socialization due to the muzzling law coming up so closely.
To see the normal socialization with man and animals filled my heart with such happiness. When we lose something (like ours and our dogs rights) we really know just how important that these things mean to us. It is unfair and perhaps we can think of a way to prevent our dogs from having to go through this. Any suggestions how we can avoid the non-socialization and keep our kids properly socialized even while things are looking difficult for us at this time?

So am I chico2! But can you think of anything or anyway, that we can continue to keep our dogs in the proper frame of mind, rather than the laws and bylaws distroying their spirits? I know if we can all put our heads together, there MUST be a resolution that we can come up with. We just have to find it is all.

It's a nice idea, but it'll never happen. The whole point of the stupid law is to oppress pittys and their owners and to prevent people from getting them. And if a pittbull only park were granted, then every single other breed would clamber for their own parks and cry at how 'unfair' it is that pittys get such special tratment...
I despise BSL. I've put it in the same mental category as the national gun registery and the national daycare program. It's amazing how such a geat country can have such stupid leaders sometimes...
okay, that's my rant. Apparently it just had to come out. I'm done now.
