How To Train Your Dog to Heel
Give the command "Heel" and begin taking steps while keeping the treat in front of your left hip.
..:::How To Pet
You must know that all steps will be easier if you start doing them early in your dogs life. The sooner the better. Either way new or old it may take your dog a while to adjust to the new steps. So the first step is take off the dogs collar.

Place the dog in the shower. That is right the shower. This means you have to get in too. If you feel uncomfortable getting naked with your dog I'm sorry for you, it's just a dog. I'm just kidding you can easily wear a swim suit in the shower. It may seem like more work but in the long run it's easier than struggling with the dog. Having you in the water with them makes the whole process go smoother.

Wet the dog completely and then apply a small amount of doggy shampoo ( preferably lavender scented). Make sure to rinse thoroughly. Take special care to not get shampoo in there ears.

After all the suds are gone turn off the water. Don't open the curtain immediately. With any luck your dog will shake off and help with the drying process. If not don't worry. Tell your dog to sit and stay in the shower. Get a towel and a blow dryer ready. First dry your dog with the towel.

Usually you can't get all the water with a towel so make sure to use a blow dryer to dry them the rest of the. My dog loves the heat of the blow dryer and hopefully so will yours. Also making sure they are not damp will help them from getting as dirty in the next step.

When your done drying completely, let your dog outside if they don't have there own access. My dog always have to pee after the shower and this will prevent it from ending up on the carpet. Of course all dogs vary so this last step may not be needed.

Enjoy your clean dog for the next hours because chances are they won't stay clean for long.
