How To Train Your Dog to Heel
Have your dog on your left side, facing the same direction as you. In your left hand hold food in front of your dog's nose.

Remove loose hair from the dense undercoat as well as the shed hair from the outer coat.
Bathe your Canaan Dog. Dry the dog with a modern high velocity dryer after the bath. This helps remove extra water from the coat and saves time drying.
Fluff dry the dog with a pin brush or a slicker brush, depending on personal preference.
Remove even more shed hair after the dog's bath.
Scissor and trim hair under and around the feet.
Remove hair that may collect dirt and feces around the anus using thinning shears.
Finish with a final comb out.
