pul a tick out of a dog-without tweezers or heat!

Give you dog treat and let him /her know you have more in your pocket (for reward when you are done)

Get your dog to lay down then put him/her at ease with some good belly rubbing. Grab the scruff of their neck and push your cheek against their upper cheek and ear- this will show dominance and triggers a submisive response which is very soothing to them.

Spread apart fur around the tick so you have full view and access.

pinch a good bit of the dog's skin directly below the tick's head- about one full finger's depth and about 1/4 inch thick.

Squeeze gently at first gradually adding more and more pressure. squeeze up towards the tick.

at the same time, with thumb and fore finger, pinch the tick. you should have the bady and as head -as close to the skin as possible- at the same time. gently squeeze the body while you pinch the head and twist. bend the tick up as you twist, esposing his under side, and pull him out!

heat sauce pan with olive oil and garlic. saute tick til golden brown. add seasoning sauce, server with rice.
