Repeat the process over a few days and gradually let the pets get closer to each other. Praise the dog with a treat for calm behavior. When you feel the time is right for the dog to be unrestrained, leave the leash on just in case you need to pull him back.

2. Talk to the dog in soft tones.
3. Allow your dog to follow you around as you continue to talk in soft tones, and as you get ready for the doggie bath.

1. Roll up your sleeves.
2. Gather supplies.
3. Prepare to give the doggie bath in the bath tub, placing the bucket in the bottom of the tub.
4. Fill bucket 1/4 with warm water. Gather the dog and place in the tub of warm water.

1. Continue to talk in soft tones as you squirt shampoo on the dog's back.
2. Rub the dog well, covering all the doggie body parts.
3. Remove the dog from the bucket of water.
4. Pour dirty water from bucket down the toilet, not the tub.
5. Use a large plastic glass to pour clean warm water over the dog as the dog stands in the tub.
5. Towel dry.
6. Clean the doggie's ears with the baby wipes.
