How To Avoid a Dog Bite
Never approach a strange dog. If you see a loose dog, it is not always a good idea to approach the dog.
..:::How To Pet
Offer your hand, palm down for the dog to smell and allow the dog to approach you. Do not approach the dog first. If the dog does not want to greet you then leave it at that and do not approach.
Don’t stare at the dog, instead it is better to look at the dog and then look away. When you take your eyes off the dog you are signaling to the dog that you are not a threat to them.
Don’t pet the dog on top of their head; it is better to pet them on their chest or back.

"Julie had an immediately calming effect on us as dog owners. She can explain the canine perspective and how we as humans can interact with our dog in a positive way, even when disciplining. Julie was super patient with all of our questions and even fielded our email questions after training ended," said Sina and Ed of Fremont, California.
