How To Train Your Dog to Stop Barking
Check your pet's basic needs: hunger, thirst or elimination. Your pup might be trying to tell you something.
..:::How To Pet
What would be the best town to meet celebrities? Columbus, Ohio? Try again. Salt Lake City, Utah? That would be a big “no.” You give up? Los Angeles, California…the City of Angels…Tinseltown…La La Land…City of Light (According to Jim Morrison). That’s your best setting for a “chance encounter” with a celeb…and a dog loving celeb at that. Find your way to L.A.

Keep in mind there are certain areas where more celebrities surface. For instance, Torrance…not a hot bed for the Paparazzi. Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu and the lush San Fernando Valley…Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City, Sherman Oaks and Encino. Now that’s not to say that if you end up in Woodland Hills, you won’t spot someone from Grey’s Anatomy taking their dog to the groomer (not a hint…just a hypothetical situation).

Pick up a Pet Press. This is a free local magazine available at pet supply stores and various other locations throughout the city that lists animal adoption events that often have celebrity MC’s and guests. You can show up…or even better… volunteer for the event. You’ll be helping homeless pets while shooting the breeze with A-listers in no time.

Volunteer at the Genesis Awards, which takes place each March at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Chances are you won't be able to shell out a few C-notes for your plate (you blew it all on your trip out West). At least as a volunteer you can still attend the ceremony that honors animal awareness in the media. And who works in the media? You got it…celebrities.

Even a celebrity's dog needs a place to exercise...not all run around on their huge, multi-acre estates. Celebrities bring them to the off-leash dog park. But not just any dog park…The Laurel Canyon Dog Park at 8260 Mulholland Drive in Studio City. Three acres of dogs, their humans…and yes...celebrities. Weekends are most crowded which should increase your odds. You may even spot a celebrity you hate cleaning up dog poop...ah, sweet justice.

Have lunch at a restaurant with an outdoor patio. Preferably Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Burbank, Studio City or Sherman Oaks. Dogs are known to frequent these kinds of places, and some bring their celebrity owners.

Visit a pet store in a celebrity-heavy neighborhood like Brentwood or Malibu. You might spot a celebrity picking up a designer, fur-lined, leather coat for their pooch (boo, hiss)…or another celebrity boycotting the sale of live animals.
