How To Dog Proof a House
Keep socks out of the dog’s reach. Socks are a favorite chew toy for many dogs. Leave them their own chew toys to play with...or some socks that already have holes. You can also put a tennis ball inside a sock, knot it...and voila...a homemade toy that dogs love. ..:::How To Pet
People always saw me bring my dogs in, so I would start up dog conversations and find out other people in my office who have dogs. People were interested in the services my groomer/doggy daycare provided- this gave them a great opportunity to check her out. Making my list was easy.
Yours may not be. Think of friends and relatives who have dogs and love them and spoil them.
CHECK WITH YOUR DOGGY DAYCARE PROVIDER -
See if you can get a reduced rate for attendees. Get a date set up and send out invites. Also, see if you get a referral bonus for any new business they may get. (Mine has a great program).
Also, ask if they would be willing to donate a gift certificate for one of the attendees to get some money off of their visit.
DECIDE ON A MENU -
Our party was at Christmas, so we did a "Doggy Cookie Swap" each person brought enough treats for their dog to share. This made their goody bags.
Also, I provided a cake and various other treats for the dogs.
INVITATIONS -
Cute idea would be bone shaped invite. List the location, cost, anything special they may need to bring, directions, etc. Ask for an RSVP so your doggy daycare can get extra help if needed.
Yes Santa, we've been good, we would like a CAT!!!! DAY OF THE PARTY - Don't forget these things:
* Camera
* Dogs
* Treats (extra is good)
* Is there adequate seating for everyone? Make sure when the party starts you've got room to move and places to sit.
Don't fret if things don't go exactly as you planned, they are dogs.
The dogs socialized in the morning, we went over at lunchtime and ate people treats, listened to music. We played our "Dog Dirty Santa", then we got to introduce our pups, give them their doggy cake and snacks then and Santa made an appearance.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................... COLLECT YOUR PUPS AND GO HOME TO REST
