How To Ease a Dog's Anxieties
Keep your dog busy. If your dog is active and has plenty of toys, it will be distracted and will not be focused on the source of anxiety.
..:::How To Pet
Find a reputable place that provides pet cremation. Check with the Better Business Bureau to make sure there are no complaints against the cremation company. Several companies have been found to mix pet ashes together and distribute them to owners. Make sure the place you select has a stellar reputation and a caring attitude.

Inquire about the selection of urns and containers sold by the cremation company. You may find something that is satisfactory. Some crematoriums place ashes in a simple wooden box. Online resources sell a variety of pet urns, including a teddy bear urn that allows one to "hug" the pet for comfort. Other special display urns include a hollow rock that can be placed in the garden, a box with a pet's picture displayed and life-sized urns that are shaped in the figure of a pet.

Select your own container if preferred. If you plan to display the pet ashes, choose a container that fits with the decor of your home.

Choose a container that secures the remains safely. Do not place the ashes in an open container that can spill out the ashes if tipped over.

Sprinkle a small amount of pet ashes in a favorite backyard or park as a memorial service to your pet.

Store a pet's ashes inside a locket that you can wear next to your heart. Several online stores also sell specialized jewelry for this purpose.
